Full steam ahead on the Rovos Rail for little Khanani

Six-year-old Khanani Makhubele recently had his dream fulfilled by the foundation. The young train enthusiast lives with renal failure and spends his time learning about his favourite mode of transportation. On the way to his dream experience at the Rovos Rail station in Pretoria, Khanani spoke passionately about his dream of being a train conductor. The Rovos Rail team gave him an unforgettable experience, taking him on a tour of the workshop to see how the luxury trains are maintained.

Khanani’s railway experience was sweetened when he put on his safety vest and had the magical opportunity to be one of the conductors preparing for departure. His dream come true brought joy to him and he shared his excitement with his parents who were with him.

“Khanani’s dream day aboard the Rovos Rail was a beautiful reminder of the joy, hope, and unforgettable memories that dreams can bring to children facing difficult circumstances.
