In just one day, the Reach For A Dream Foundation makes dreams come true for six children with life-threatening illnesses. In one year, the Foundation touches the lives of over 30 000 children.
But the COVID-19 lockdown has temporarily grounded this “fairy godmother”… And the dream children in waiting are going without the Foundation’s magic.
Now, more than ever before, these dream children need inspiring messages of hope. Join the Reach For A Dream Foundation and its friends, on 1 April, 2020, to #sharehope
The Foundation invites South Africans to bring a little more light into the world. The Foundation encourages South Africans to #sharehope, with a video recording or photograph and a special message of inspiration and sharing it on social media (tagging @ReachForADream and using the hashtag #sharehope).
“We believe that we can be stronger, together,” says Julia Sotirianakos, CEO: The Reach For A Dream Foundation. “We know that South Africans are resilient and positive, that we lift each other up. We want to share your smiles, joy and buckets of positivity with the children in our care, to let them know that their dreams haven’t been forgotten, even in these unusual times. Let’s remind the children that they are loved, so that they can have courage.”
The Foundation is also inviting South Africans to make donations, which will allow it to continue its incredible work after the lockdown has lifted.
“We also urge our fellow South Africans to make donations. A donation of just R30 can help bring immeasurable joy and hope into a child’s life. Let’s make the wait for the end of the lockdown worth it: Join Reach For Dream and #sharehope today,” says Sotirianakos.
