Share Hope

In just one day, the Reach For A Dream Foundation makes dreams come true for six children with life-threatening illnesses. In one year, the Foundation touches the lives of over 30 000 children. The COVID-19 lockdown temporarily had this “fairy god-mother” grounded. This had left the dream children in waiting without the Foundation’s magic.
Dream children (who were in waiting at the time) needed inspiring messages of hope and YOU delivered. Thank you to everyone who joined the Reach For A Dream Foundation and its friends, on 1 April, 2020, to #sharehope. It was a beautiful and heartfelt moment.
The Foundation continues to invite South Africans to bring a little more light into the world. The Foundation encourages South Africans to #sharehope, with a video recording or photograph and a special message of inspiration and sharing it on social media (tagging @ReachForADream and using the hashtag #sharehope).
“We believe that we can be stronger, together,” says Julia Sotirianakos, CEO: The Reach For A Dream Foundation. “We know that South Africans are resilient and positive, that we lift each other up. We want to share your smiles, joy and buckets of positivity with the children in our care, to let them know that their dreams haven’t been forgotten, even in these unusual times. Let’s remind the children that they are loved, so that they can have courage.”

The Foundation is also inviting South Africans to make donations, which will allow it to continue its incredible work.
“We also urge our fellow South Africans to make donations. A donation of just R30 can help bring immeasurable joy and hope into a child’s life. Let’s make the wait for the end of the lockdown worth it: Join Reach For Dream and #sharehope today,” says Sotirianakos.
